Company History

In response to the joint PDO/Ministry initiative, Hamraa Al-Daroua Petroleum Services Co L.L.C (HADCO LLC) was founded in 1998, a 100 % Omani Company whose shareholders belong to Al-Darai community of North Oman interior. HADCO has met all Government criteria to legally establish as a Limited Liability Company and also met the PDO requirements to be categorized as class “A” Community Contractor. Starting operations with just 6, HADCO currently employs 101 staff with 80 % Omanisation.

Achievements To-date

HADCO has achieved several milestones during the current PDO contract “Provision of Well Services”, i.e. 5 years of operation with out Lost Time Injury, 5 Star Certification in HSE and Business Management from PDO Local Community Development Center and to cap it all, ISO 9001-2000 accreditation as on 10th Dec 04.

HADCO is proud to be the only Local Community Company providing “Well Services” in the North of Oman and uniquely positioned to develop as an Integrated Well Services Provider.

HADCO - Current status

HADCO LLC having completed 5 year contract for Petroleum Development Oman as Class A LCC Subcontractor (99 Oct to 04 Sept) is through the first stage of development and has successfully established Transport Services, Wellhead Maintenance Services, Non-corrosive Pumping and Slickline Operation. The Heavy Transport and Wellhead maintenance are fully established. However, the Non-corrosive pumping and Wireline Services are operated with limited scope. Hadco now looks forward to establish full scope operation in Wireline and Non-corrosive pumping operations under the renewed 5 year PDO Slickline Contract as nominated Slickline Contractor.

To achieve the targeted growth Hadco has developed Quality Plan, Procedures for NCP, Wireline, Transport and Wellhead Maintenance. We have also established Infrastructure such as Workshop & Stores to support the operation. Currently a Multistory Building is under construction in Azaiba, Muscat that would be our new Corporate Office by March 05.

Hadco has also devoted much attention in improving our Management System and proud to announce our successful accreditation to ISO 9001-2000 QMS as on 10th Dec 04.

Over the past 5 years Hadco achieved considerable growth in manpower resources and assets. The manpower has gone up from the initial 6 to 101 as of now. Hadco Fleet has gone up from 8 to 55. One Non Corrosive pump unit and a greasing unit have been acquired. Leased Wireline unit now in operation is expected to be replaced by a new unit now on order by May 05.

Hadco believes that the competent personnel are the key to success. With this in mind we have trained personnel in Wireline and NCP under Petroleum Development Oman supported development scheme. It is planned to send more selected personnel abroad for training with the view of achieving our targeted growth through a step change program.

As of now HADCO has completed 5 years of operation without Lost Time Incident and driven over 3.7 Million safe Kilometers.
